- 4 15 oz Canned Diced Tomatoes, Drained
- 1 8 oz Canned Tomato Sauce
- 1 8 oz Canned Diced Green Chilis
- 1/2 Medium Purple Onion
- 2 Bunches Fresh Cilantro, Stems removed
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, Stem and seeds removed
- 4 Green Onions
- 4 Garlic Cloves, Peeled
- 1 TBSP Kosher Salt
- 1 TBSP Granulated Sugar
- 1 Jalapeno, Optional
Drain each can of diced tomatoes and pour into a food processor.
Pour in tomato sauce and green chilies.
Rough chop purple onion and green bell pepper. Add to the food processor.
Remove the rough stems from the cilantro and trim off the roots from the green onions. Add both to the food processor.
Add in the peeled garlic cloves, salt and sugar.
Pulse for 30-60 seconds until finely chopped, but not pureed.
Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight container and let it chill for 24 hours before serving.
*If adding in the jalapeno remove the stem and blend it with the other ingredients. The spiciness level depends on if you add the seeds or not.
