For a while now I’ve struggled with time. Okay, let’s face it…it’s been years since I’ve struggled with time flying by, not enough time, and time management! Lately, I’ve been pulled in so many directions that I feel like I don’t have time for myself. Sounds selfish doesn’t it? Myself. Me, me me. I don’t know about you, but I tend to go a little crazy (just ask my husband) if I don’t have a little me time every now and then.
I recently was reading an article in “Real Simple” magazine that said over 50% of stay at home women have less than 90 minutes of free time a day. Now, I am not expecting to to have a ton of free time each day because that would require that I shove my children to the side, have empty pantries and a pretty grumpy husband if I devoted hours and hours to myself. Because then that would be selfish of me. And the more hours I have to myself the more guilty I feel because usually my responsibilities are slipping through the cracks and that’s not good either.
It got me thinking about time and how to make the most of it. Make the most of my chore time, cooking time, children time, spouse time and me time. Once a week I’m going to let you know how that’s going and hopefully share a few tips and tricks along the way. I will also be asking you questions to see how you do it all. I’m excited to see where this will take me…hopefully not down the road called “epic fail”!
