When redesigning my site, I knew I just had to have hexagons integrated as much as possible. It might be a trendy thing, but I’m choosing to see it as a classic design! There is just something about that shape make me happy!
It all started when I started my hexagon quilt years ago. *Side note – Thank you for your huge response to something so dear to my heart! I’ve gotten so many inquiries that a simple tutorial will follow soon!* I started seeing hexagon patterns everywhere! Home designs, fashion, and even paper goods. I’m in love with it all.
Along with my site makeover, new recipe creations and plenty of food photography going on around here, I’ve also been designing some fantastic printables! Yep. I’m branching out and look forward sharing my new venture with you!
I collaborated with my Mr. (who is pretty much a genius when it comes to the computer!) and I literally jumped up and down with joy when this hexagon calendar came together! Isn’t it just the cutest? I’m completely ecstatic with it!
For a decade now, I’ve been printing my own yearly calendar. I used to make my own in Word. Very plain and simple. Then a few years back I discovered that Becky Higgins had created one and I printed a couple of hers. Pinterest came along and I discovered some other great calendars the last two years. I keep it clipped to my fridge and write everything down on it. And I mean everything!
I get it from my mom. She has a planner now, but I remember being little and her sitting at the dining room table scheduling away on her full size calendar. My favorite one of hers was a Miss Piggy one from 1981.
I would look through those pictures for hours. This was back in the day when the Muppets were cool!
We’ve come a long way since 1981! There are so many options out there for keeping your day to day life on track. This hexagon calendar is still simple but, packs a punch with it’s geometric design and color palate. We’ve got some more great versions coming up and other fun printables. Enough that I’ve decided to open my own little shop over at Etsy (currently underway).
Soooo, I’m offering this for FREE to download until October 31st! This is perfect (and stinkin’ adorable) to clip onto your fridge, hang in your office or place in your organizing binder. Just click on each month and start planning for the future!
