I was debating on whether or not to post this since it is so similar to my How To Flash Freeze Strawberries post I did a while back. There are some slight differences though, so I hope you find this helpful! I freeze mine for smoothies since they’ve been on sale lately. SO much cheaper and better than the already available ones in the frozen isle.
Step 1. First, you need to peel your peaches. You can find a helpful video on how to do that HERE.
Step 2. Once you have them peeled, cut them in half and remove the pit. Sometimes the pit doesn’t come out easy, depending on the type of peach. If that is the case then cut slices out of the whole peach using a paring knife.
Step 3. Cut each half into slices. About 4-6 slices per half.
Step 4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Make sure the sheet with fit inside your freezer.
Step 5. Place peach slices in a single layer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 6. Freeze tray into the freezer and freeze for 4-6 hours. Because the sliced peaches are really juicy and wet, you want to make sure they are really frozen on the outside.
Step 7. Place frozen peaches into a gallon size freezer bag and return to the freezer.
Step 8. Keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Fresh frozen peaches are super sweet and ripe. Perfect to toss a few into your smoothie mix!
