Strawberry Lemonade Slushie

Strawberry Lemonade Slushie is simply made with 3 ingredients and one of them is fresh strawberry puree! It’s super refreshing and perfect for any holiday, party or summertime get together.

This is one of my most favorite things to make in the summer. Living in the Texas heat we stay cool at all costs. My boys make a copy cat version of the Chickfila Frosted Key Lime. If you want some cookies, but don’t want to turn on the oven, then make my No Bake Peanut Butter Cookies. Next, you can always keep a pint of my Homemade Birthday Cake Ice Cream in your freezer. Finally, let’s not forget the classic favorite of a good Italian Soda. Oh So Deliciouso has a fabulous recipe!

Frozen Summer Treat

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been quite obsessed with strawberries lately. I’ve used them in classic desserts like Strawberry Shortcake and even created my favorite drink Strawberry Cream Soda.

Strawberry Lemonade Slush

This recipe is just as easy as the others and I really hope you make it. Even though it’s made with summer strawberries, this truly can be created any time of the year.

It’s super slushy and refreshing and you only need a few ingredients. Despite it taking a few hours to prepare, it’s completely worth the time!

How To Make A Slushie

  • Use a blender or food processor to puree strawberries and pour into a large bowl.
  • Add in the lemonade mix and water stir until the lemonade mix is dissolved. About 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour into a 9×13 dish and place into the freezer. Do not use glass in the freezer. There’s a greater chance it will crack and break.
A super easy frozen beverage recipe.
  • Set a timer for 1 hour.
  • Remove the strawberry mixture from the freezer.
  • Scrap mixture with a fork. It will still be pretty liquidy, but ice crystals should be forming on the top an around the edges at this point.

  • Repeat every hour for 4 hours, scrapping and stirring the mixture.
  • This can seem a little daunting, but it is such an easier process than freezing then entire block and then trying to break it up. Scraping it while it’s in the process of freezing makes it a slushie.
  • Once it all broken up and resembles shaved ice, scoop about 1 cup of the slush in to a cup and fill it up with chilled Sprite or Ginger-ale.
  • Serve immediately.

Refreshing Drinks

This is such a unique beverage that your friends and family will be impressed. You could even serve this in a punch bowl and have everyone serve themselves.

This would even work with pouring in a Gingerale if that’s the flavor profile you prefer.
