Peach Crisp is a perfect summer and fall dessert! Warm sweet peaches topped with a buttery crumble. Scoop it into a bowl and serve with freshly whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
I have a few other dessert recipes I’m sure you will love. These Mini No Bake Key Lime Cheesecakes are a party favorite. Super creamy and extremely easy to put together. Strawberry Shortcakes are another palate pleaser. One more of my favorite desserts to make is my Peanut Butter Sheet Cake. It feeds plenty of people, super moist and full of peanut butter flavor!!
The Best Recipe For Peach Crisp
Lately I have been obsessed with Peaches. Everything that has peach in it I want. I even caved and bought Crush Peach soda and we are not terrible carbonated drink drinkers! It’s heavenly!
So, when peaches came into season this year I took my time picking the perfect peaches at my local grocery store. Texas Peaches can be pretty big and tasty.
When I got home I would peel and slice a few and serve them to my boys for an after school snack. But I saved the rest to make this glorious Peach Crisp!
And when I say glorious, I really mean this crisp is absolute PERFECTION! My husband who doesn’t really like hot fruit desserts even loves this. Especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
How To Make Peach Crisp
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl mix together peaches, sugar and cornstarch.
- Pour mixed peaches into a 9×13 baking dish.
- In the same bowl mix together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Add in melted butter and mix with a fork. Mixture will not be completely wet, but make sure it is evenly blended.
- Take a handful of topping and press together with your hand. It should clump up.
- Sprinkle mixture over the fruit. Leave some larger clumps so it stays crisper while baking.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until topping is lightly golden brown and fruit is bubbling.
- Cool for about 15 minutes before serving. Serve with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Do You Have To Peel Peaches For Peach Crisp?
The answer is no. You really don’t have to peel peaches for this dessert.
However, I really prefer peeled peaches for this crisp. There is plenty of texture in the crumb part that I really like my peaches to be velvety soft.
Have you ever peeled peaches before? It’s actually really simple and only takes a few moment. I created a how to video that you can see over on my How To Peel Peaches post.
