It’s still blazing hot here in Texas and to think that school starts in a week is crazy to me! The kids are practically permanently pruney from swimming so much this summer. I’ve given up on cooking anything in the kitchen as to avoid heating up the house. I think my family is sick of cold cereal and toaster waffles.
The one thing that has been in abundant is popsicles and ice cream! Horrible, I know! The boys informed me that no summer is complete without having a Harry Potter marathon and treating ourselves to Butter Beer Floats.
That got me thinking of some other fun creations using different kinds of soda to make floats.
At the beginning of the season I created my own Blueberry Soda that anyone can make at home. It’s just a few ingredients and tastes fresh and fabulous. The only thing that makes it better is adding a scoop (or two) of vanilla ice cream.
These turned out so well they were added to the must-have-for-summer list! So fruity and creamy!
