During these cold winter months I love to have a nice cup of hot chocolate. There is just something so comforting about it and it brings me back to my childhood.
When I’m feeling a little extra I love to make my special Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.

Here is how you can make it for yourself at home.
- Pour two cups of half and half into a medium size sauce pan.
- Grate 6 oz of good quality dark chocolate and add it to the half and half.
- Add in 4 tablespoons of caramel sauce
- Sprinkle in 1/8 tsp Morton® Coarse Himalayan Pink Salt.
- Whisk together ingredients and turn on heat to medium.
- Bring the hot chocolate to a simmer and cook until the chocolate is melted.
- Pour into a large mug and top with a dollop of freshly whipped cream.
- Drizzle with more caramel sauce and sprinkle with Morton® Coarse Himalayan Pink Salt.
- Makes two servings.

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Half and Half
- 6 oz. Good Quality Dark Chocolate
- 4 TBSP Caramel Sauce
- 1/8 tsp Morton® Coarse Himalayan Pink Salt
- 1 Cup Whipping Cream
- 2 TBSP Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
