I’ve shared a few times that I’m not really one to laugh out loud. Weird, right? It’s not that I’m embarrassed of my laugh or that I care that people know I’m laughing. I just don’t do it very often. I am laughing on the inside, but it just doesn’t come out. It’s something that I’m trying to change because those times that I do (especially when I laugh so hard I cry) I actually feel better. Like, physically and mentally. And I’ve been feeling especially down in those areas.
I can name on one hand the things that actually make me laugh out
loud…some include Pheobe from Friends, when babies pass gas (I know!) and Jim Gaffigan. Tonight Ian and I were watching a clip of Jim Gaffigan online. We then found out that you can download his newest act (Mr. Universe) for just $5 off of his site. We downloaded it and within minutes I was laughing until I had tears streaming down my face!
It felt great to just let go.
It felt great that my cares and worries didn’t seem so serious anymore.
It felt great to not take myself so seriously.
So, this week take time to laugh out loud. Take the time to find something funny. What are those things for you? Life can get too serious sometimes so take a break and laugh.
